Online Purchasing
I am a little skeptical about making a large purchase over the internet with an online jewellery store. Is there anything you can tell me that will reassure me it is safe?
We at Shikari Diamonds understand your apprehension. Anyone who conducts business on the internet should be very concerned with internet fraud. Shikari Diamonds is a verifiable Australian owned and operated company. You are free to browse through our diamond engagement rings or even peruse through our wide selection of gorgeous wedding bands and any of the other fine jewellery we offer before making any commitment whatsoever. We would like to point out that as long as you are either using direct deposit or using a credit card with an Australian company you have an easily verifiable and traceable history of your transaction.
Shipping
Where do you ship diamonds and jewellery?
We ship diamonds and diamond jewellery anywhere within Australia to your home or office address.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International shipping is available.
I'd like to place an international order. Do I pay customs fees to Shikari Diamonds or to FedEx?
When you place your order, we collect payment for the item plus the cost of shipping. Once the package arrives in your country FedEx will contact you to collect any taxes or duties payable. International shipping is done via FedEx International Priority. For international sales, customers are responsible for any Duties, VAT, and charges by customs in their own country.
Can I ship to an address that is different from my billing address?
Yes. All goods must be signed for by a person over the age of 18.
How long after I order will my item be shipped?
Loose diamonds are shipped within 1 week of receiving your payment. All other jewellery and engagement rings will be shipped within 10 – 14 days, depending on the production schedule of that item. Are you a "drop-shipper"?
No. Every item sold by Shikari Diamonds is inspected and must pass our rigorous quality checks prior to shipment.
What if I need an item sooner than the date listed on the website?
We will endeavour to meet your requirements, however sometimes due to the production leadtimes we may not be able to deliver items before the stated delivery date. Please contact Customer Service at service@shikaridiamonds.com.au to see if your order can be expedited.
Are your shipments safe?
Yes. Our items are fully insured during transit door to door. All purchases require a signature at the time of delivery by a person over the age of 18.
What if my jewellery gets lost during shipment?
Shikari Diamonds takes every precaution to ensure that your order arrives safely. Your order is fully insured during transit, and we require a signature for all packages.
Return Policy
What is your return policy?
Additional Terms & Conditions:
Improperly packaged items: Items sent to our office without a RAN number, packages shipped beyond the 14-day return period, and packages that are improperly packaged or uninsured will be refused receipt.
Damaged and Used Items: Returned merchandise must be undamaged and in "new and unused condition." Items showing obvious signs of wear or alteration by a jeweller other than Shikari Diamonds will not be accepted.
Loose diamonds: Loose diamonds must be accompanied by the original laboratory grading report or these will not be issued a refund.
Special orders: Special orders cannot be returned. All Create Your Own products as well as any item that has been engraved is considered special orders.
Payments
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit and charge cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) as well as direct bank transfers. Many customers purchasing items valued over $1,000 prefer paying by Direct Deposit.
Customers paying by Direct Deposit will receive bank details instructions once they have completed the check-out process. We must receive confirmation from our bank that a Direct Deposit has been completed before items can be shipped. All international orders, or order in excess of $20,000 must be paid via Direct Deposit. Credit card orders can be placed online using our secure server or over the phone with our customer service department. Credit card orders will only be shipped to an address on file with the credit card company. For security purposes, Shikari Diamonds may request additional documentation (such as drivers license, photocopy of credit card, etc) on some transactions. Please contact our customer service department at service@shikaridiamonds.com.au if you have any additional questions.
Will I be charged GST on my order?
Shikari Diamonds charges GST on your orders. All pricing displayed on the Shikari Diamonds website is inclusive of GST.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged at the time of purchase.
Can I pay with two different credit cards?
Yes. If you'd like pay with two different cards, please place your order over the phone with customer service on (02) 9275 8713, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m.- 5.30 p.m. (AEST). Any order placed over the telephone will be charged a delivery fee.
What is the credit card security code?
The security code is a 3 or 4 digit number that appears on your credit card. Visa and MasterCard users will find this code above the signature on the back of the card. American Express users will find this number on the top right of the front of the card.

Can I order through your website?
Yes. You can purchase our loose diamonds, engagement rings or fine jewellery using our secure checkout process. Our free shipping only applies to orders placed over the internet. Should you need to place an order over the phone, delivery charges will apply.
What if I need help placing an order?
If you would like assistance with placing your order, please call customer service on (02) 9275 8713, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m.- 5.30 p.m. (AEST).
What if I have a question about my order, want to change it, or need to cancel it?
For questions about your order, you can send an e-mail to service@shikaridiamonds.com.au. You will need your order number and email address.
How do I find my ring size?
There are several methods available to determine your ring size (or the ring size of a loved one). Please click here for a full list of the options available to you.
If I purchase an engagement ring and a loose diamond, do I have to pay extra to have the diamond set into the ring?
No. We encourage you to choose your diamond separately and have it set into your choice of Shikari Diamonds settings - this is what will make your engagement ring unique!
Are "Create your Own" rings considered special orders?
Yes. All rings created via our Create Your Own feature are classed as special orders.
Why did I find an item that appears to have an incorrect price?
We strive to make sure the prices and information listed on our site are accurate, but occasionally there are data errors displayed. We reserve the right to fix the error and we do not honor incorrect prices. Diamond and jewellery prices are subject to change without notice.
Privacy and Security
Is shopping with Shikari Diamonds secure?
Yes. Shikari Diamonds ensures that our customers' purchases are secure. We use secure encryption and fraud protection for all credit card transactions. Shikari Diamonds uses the latest in SSL Certificates – the EV SSL Certificate – a method for identification of a secure website. The most obvious way to determine EV SSL usage is the green address bar effect, a result of having passed a rigorous company and system authentication process. What are the GIA and AGS diamond certificates?
A GIA or AGS diamond certificate assures the quality of your diamond. GIA and AGS are the gold standard in diamond grading. Their reports detail key characteristics of each diamond for peace of mind, security and traceability.
What are the four C's?
Experts evaluate every diamond for individual rarity and beauty, using four primary guidelines. These are commonly referred too as The Four C's -- Cut, Colour, Clarity, and Carat Weight.
What is "Cut"?
While cut does refer to the shape, it also refers to how the diamond is actually cut, its overall proportions, as well the size and placement of its many reflective surfaces or facets play a large part in “cut”. The consistency and balance of these can greatly affect how the stone captures light and reflects it back to the eye.
I found a diamond on your website that I like. Is it available?
Yes. All diamonds on our website are available for purchase. We update our diamond list on a regular basis. We endeavour to keep our diamond list up to date and as accurate as possible. In the unlikely event that a particular item becomes unavailable, we will contact you to recommend a similar or alternative item.
Do the white gold rings turn yellow over time?
Yes, they can. White gold is a percentage of pure yellow gold, therefore it must be rhodium plated. Rhodium plating is standard for all white gold jewellery and gives the jewellery a pure white brilliance and lustre. Over time, however, the plating tends to wear thin as a result of general wear and tear, showing the natural colour of the gold beneath.
What are conflict-free diamonds?
All of our diamonds are independently graded, certified and compliant with diamond buying best practices from conflict free sources that comply with the Kimberley process. How often do you add diamonds to your inventory?
We add new diamonds to our inventory on a daily basis. So make sure you visit us regularly to see what new diamonds we have.

This allows us to cut overhead costs and focus exclusively on quality and service - providing you with only high quality products at greater value than high end jewellery store.
